I went to get new tires today . decided to stay with the stock tires 5yrs old 25,000 miles its time .I had ordered them monday .when I showed up I told them look at the wheels no scratches or blems. I told them this is the first tire change please dont scratch them. the car has never seen rain it took them 10 mins to get the wheels off the hub they where stuck. Long story short they ordered all the same size tires, the front size. didnt figure it out till had them all mounted. In the end. my wheel has a nice gash in it now. They tell me they have a guy that can fix it. Can they? and has this happened to you? I'm not trying to be difficult but I think a new wheel is in order.

Stick to your guns, Yes, they can be repaired.
The major complait on repaired wheels is, they will not match the others perfectly.
The process tends to make them yellow compared to the wheels that have the factory finish.
At very least they should make good on thier mistake.

New wheel. I keep paying dealership prices for my tire changes because they have the correct adapters and have not scratched up the wheels so far. I do hold my breath still, though.

You should keep in mind the factory wheels are polished with a clear coat... The entire wheel will have to be re-coated after they remove the scratch.... I'd demand a new wheel and just for the future make shure the shop has the machines that dont make contact with the wheel...

A repaired, polished wheel will not look like the rest.
I know... I had mine repaired. I ended up getting my chromed.

PS - About $800-$900 for all 4 if want ;) Just don't drive them in the snow.

Sorry to hear about your scenario.
And you're damn right they owe you a new (OEM) wheel.

Thanks for all the imput. I'm in business and I know that things happen whenever you have employees. I take all my vehicles to these guys and never had a problem before. They made me a hell of a deal on the tires. I will kinda feel like a jerk taking it to the next level. but I did tell them, and I dont think it happened when he took the tire off the first time, I think it happened after they realized they ordered all the same size tires. and had to unmount two new ones.

Thats the one thing I wish I had in my garage but don't. A freaking tire machine. ONE DAY!!! Oh yes...one day... I'll have one. And an alignment rack.

You really don't need an alignment machine, you can do it on any flat level surface.
