I recently donated a little bit of cash, because as a newer member I was impressed with all the information, all the recent friends "Windy City Marauders" I have met and of course Local Boy! I figured what ever little amount I could contribute to keep this site up and running... I'm in! Now it seems all my friends are next door playing and I'm all left alone, soooo sad!

I'm still here bud,but I'm sure wondering wtf is going on. I must've missed something. But I know this site has been thru at least a few changes since I first came on here,there were some political battles and feuds that went on along with some "cleansings" too.Now I don't know first hand what they were about or why they happened but I do know there were some members who were on here a long time ago that aren't now and some are still wondering what hit them and why did it.:(
When I came on here way back almost 6 years ago nearly everyone here was involved with trying to find out more info or supplying more info about our cars and trying to help one another to enjoy them more and there was quite a bit of comradery. :)
Take a look at the stickies and see how long ago some of those threads were originated.
I recall one member actually shipped his car to another members house in another state for a Marauder event and neither had ever met one another.When the car arrived at the other guys house he made sure it was carefully removed from the truck and went over it with a fine tooth comb to be certain it hadn't been damaged and if had been the shipper would've been held accountable.Not only did he do that,but he removed HIS MM from his garage,then washed and cleaned the shipped MM and stored it in his garage for the other guy. After the event he made sure the car was loaded carefully back onto the shippers truck and not damaged. And these were two complete strangers who only knew something of each other from being members of this site! :eek:
Now I'm not saying we always agreed with each other,but there wasn't much bashing going on. :beer:
What happened? Why? :confused:
Are we here because we love these cars and are willing to share that passion or are we here just to one up or get over on somebody? :confused:

All I know is I was welcomed as part of the community a long time ago and at all the meets even though I didn't have a Marauder,heck,I must have the record here for being THE wannabe MM owner for longest time,5 years and a month or two. When I finally got my DTR this past January I felt as welcome as ever but noticed a certain under current I couldn't put my finger on.
There are still a lot of good people out here and I loathe to see them leave.
Let's get serious here and get our ***** straight,maybe we can straighten stuff out without a lot of finger pointing and playground games and get back to doing what we used to do best. :soapbox:

Yeah man, come on over here, Chicago seems to be Marauder city with all the experts living or have lived in and around the city. Like Zack and Sgt Mac for examples. I think the most MMs are sighted in this area too.
