hey guys, i love the marauder and i found one about 4 or 5 hours away for only $7000 cdn. my only concern is that it has 235,000 kms (not miles) on it. Now to me that seems like a lot of kms. i would like some input on what to look for and what to expect on a marauder with that many miles.

See my comments in the post above. My biggest turn down was the rear end. For all I know they put 2.73 unit in there and it kinda seemed like it when I took it for a drive. I think it spent a lot of it's live in the States as well because it had Florida sheriff's sticker on the back window. Undercarriage is oil sprayed so no rust visible. Interior was in fair shape for what it is. Guy liked to drink coffee though so there are some stains. I have some more pictures of the car that the guy sent to me. Ok pics sent. It would probably be a decent car for a daily driver but I don't know if I would throw mods on it. With that many km something will start failing regardless if it's all highway km or not. There is another MM in the classifieds that's in Sudbury for $8000, might want to check it out. Has almost as many km but with a new motor at 90k.

thanks serge. ya i saw that add on kijiji a while back, he took it down so i figured he sold it. i was leary about that being a rebuilt motor. i don't trust a rebuld unless i did it or theres a good waranty on it. me living down here in windsor also makes it difficult since that one is 6-8 hrs away.

Judging from what I've read about the car, for 7K C$, I'd jump on it. You would be hard pressed to find any MM for less, and you could replace a lot of stuff (gears?) for the difference in price. It's only money....and you're 22.

C$5800 sounds like a bargin. Add in mod parts for whatever needs replacing and enjoy.

If anyone wants the $5800 Marauder, it's still available. I was considering it but asked the guy if I could speak with the previous owner about the history and he blew me off so I no longer want it. I bet something is wonky with the car. Otherwise, I don't see why he would try to avoid it.
