Yes there's 4 cats underneath. Maybe a set of high flow cats, getting rid of the rear ones with the 44's! Just a suggestion , I'm pretty sure others will chime in also with their opinions. Also try search and see what comes up.

Just so you know Flowmasters do not flow well at all, they are actually pretty bad, just some food for thought

I'm pretty sure with stock 2" pipes that flowmasters, even though they are not as good as a dynomax ultraflow or the like, will not be the limiting factor. The HP gain just from changing mufflers without changing anything else about the stock exhaust is probably close to zero. This car really should have had a 2.25" H pipe from the factory like a Mustang Cobra, and mufflers with inlets to match.

As NA I got to the #2 spot on the time slip page, and I'm quite sure some others had Magnaflow's, but they were behind me.........Is that a good enough flow meter for ya.

not at all good enough.... I made 450whp on stock manifolds so by your logic no marauder under that needs exhaust upgrades.... The problem here is a little something called begging the question, you have a result and are trying to build a proof around it. Like I said flowmasters do not flow well, and there are better cans for your money. I never said don't buy them, just pointing out that they aren't very good. If it doesn't matter to the person buying them then that's fine, but some people might care and prefer to purchase something better that might serve them better in the future ;)

I was only referring to mufflers, not manifolds or headers.
If we go with flow rates then cutouts would net more HP than any muffler, and then every racer would have them. Flowmasters divert exhaust via chambers that do create a bit of restriction, but you'll never hear of someone bragging about being faster than others because of their mufflers. And by the way I topped out over 460 RWHP with Flowmasters, So you're trying to say I'll have more HP if I changed my Mufflers? Oh, and the Proof is that little piece of paper you get at the end of the track.:beatnik:

I just installed Kooks headers with Magnaflow (2 cat) X-pipe and mufflers. I'm not sure how the flow is, but I SURE LOVE THE SOUND!

So I take it the STOCK DD will be changed to Slightly Modded DD, you do know that's how a snowball rolling down a hill starts out.

You need to take a class in logic before I even bother talking to you, you do realize all I said was flowmasters don't flow very well?... and actually yes cars can get faster/slower depending on muffler. Change of power wasn't the point, it's a matter of info; flowmasters don't flow well, heck prob not much better than stock... where pray tell did I say you can't make power on them? In fact I pointed out that you don't even need exhaust mods to make power, the point is in info, if someone buys them thinking that they are doing anything but making more noise it's just not so, that's all there is to it. If you buy em for the sound then cool, but if you are buying them thinking you're doing anything else for the car people deserve to know that it's just not so.

If your going for a subtle but good sound upgrade then check out my flowmaster delta 40's and homemade delete tips.

Total cost mufflers and install $180.00 and another $40.00 bucks for the tips cut off pouded out and rewelded.

That's like trying to argue about which is better X or H-pipe, until you get into HIGH 600 and up RWHP honestly it does not really make a big difference.
Anyways, to each there own and what they like.
Just so you know I will be replacing my flowmasters with some AeroTurbine 2525XL mufflers. Not cause they flow a million times better but I like their tone. :P

So mufflers do make power, Hold that thought!
Change of power wasn't the point, it's a matter of info; flowmasters don't flow well, heck prob not much better than stock
Now you talk about info it appears you don't have, Stock muffflers are highly restrictive compared to performance Mufflers... that's why they are so quiet...
where pray tell did I say you can't make power on them? Now you're saying they don't make power.... I see why you're confused
By the way, I passed my Digital Logic class 28 years ago, and I say it that way because it was one of the few classes I Aced, And gates, Or gates, exclusive Nor gates, and so on. Boy was that a long time ago.

Ed- it is my full intention to keep the siver DD stock. Having said that, everyday I wake up with the intention on eating right and exercising too.

Depends if you just want to change the mufflers or you can buy a bigger inlet/outlet muffler and have new bigger piping made.
