I try and make a sincere effort to get permission from folks if I intend to use one or more of their photos for personal reasons such as a collection of Marauder images, wallpaper, decals or storyboards.

However, I'm not sure what is customary here. The photo section does not state any policy, photos don't seem to be copyrighted or otherwise restricted usage and the photo section is public access.

But I would think it would be courteous to ask permission beforehand.

Is this the custom here at .Net?

I prolly wouldn't mind seeing my cars photo in Car Craft magazine but would prolly object if it was on the cover of "Cars Most Favored By Thugs"

If I see a pic of some1s car on here I ask if I can use it for whatever reason it may be...
I dont know what the sites protocol is but I figure thats just common courtesy.

All my photos are copyrighted and assigned a serial number by the Library of Congress. ;)

How are you coming along with that latest batch, TiTo35? You are getting a little behind on my registration numbers. :P

I just park near Doom's car and no pictures of mine get take.

No problem!

If pic's are mine, I just want the credit for the work, or the car if someone else uses them.
For instance: Here is O's Fan Rich's Marauder. His was the first Trilogy to be painted black and that inspired Jerry Barnes to make all the twin screw units black!
At least that's what I think happened!!!!

Everything not otherwise noted as copyright so and so is legally owned by the site owners. Posting it here and all information not deemed secret by privacy laws or other statements by the owners is theirs to do with however they see fit.

So likely you would ask an owner for permission to use and unless the photo says copyright so and so, it can then be used for whatever.

Just remember used is on typo away from sued.
