you think thats funny? check this out.
you can buy elbow grease, along with other humorous items. my favorite would have to be the O-pipe
"You've heard of the Y pipe.. the X pipe.. the H pipe.. nothing can touch the O pipe!!! It provides 100% back pressure feedback on ALL engines!! Torque increase and kuneutson valve float brings in much lower revs so you don't hurt your motor! Not CARB Legal. Please specify standard or polished finish. Product shown is dual input O-Pipe with standard finish."

Yeah, and knowing the staff at those stores they probably went to check the stockroom for it.

I guess if he got pulled over for putting to much foot-n-2-it, he would argue with the cop and say he only uses 93 octane!

And some of these guys have SC or TC on their cars. And then they are going to be driving on our expressways at 90 mph.

They still cover the internal combustion engine in public middle schools, right? :bigcry:

it remember that tool.... he said he was going to make his own turbo system by using the exhaust to force air into his motor... called it Direct Exhaust Injection, or DEI lol....

I honestly don't find any of this funny. These people simply didn't know slang terms or how something functions. You tell them and that's that. I have no idea how a record player works yet I totally love them, does that mean I fail? No it doesn't. I was running a repair shop and didn't know stuff like that, than I would have a major problem and would fail. If it's a hobby to someone and not a carrier, don't give someone a hard time for being new to the subject.

however the guy with the DEI exhaust idea had blueprintys drawn and truely tried to convince people that by forcing your exhaust back into the motor it would be a sort of endless amount of power... more exhaust=more power.... he was mechanical and fought for the idea. he simply could not acceptthe fact that hisidea was wrong and he didnt know what he was talking about.

I wish that they still did, I could only imagine what I'd be capable of today if had the actual mechanical experience and training when young instead of actually having to do it all through books and good ol' trial and error.

Yes, I believe he had a mid 90s vette. And literally didnt have an answer when they asked him where the clean air would come into the engine .

That one thread had like 120,000 views before the website crashed.

I remember one guy told him it would be like "plugging a powercord into itself" ...."an unlimited amount of power, and that he'd better be carefull with his idea".

Lol!!!

Y'know alot of this stuff wouldn't happen if these "car guys" started at age 10 re-ringing old lawn mowers.

This whole thing is just a common case of running before you can walk.

Not understanding the expression "elbow grease" leads me to believe he probably resides on the darkside of the moon.
