I am helping to start a trend of sharing consumable recipies :D

KillJoy's Jello Shots

Jello takes 2 cups of water. 1/2 of this water can be repalced by 80 Proof alcohol and still set. The higher the quality of your alcohol, the less it shows itself in the Jello. I have found that Rain Vodka, from Buffalo Trace ;) works VERY well in this fashion. Also, if you can get your hands on it, Everclear (19? Proof Grain Alcohol), works VERY well. However, if using Everclear, only use 1/3 instead of 1/2 alcohol ;). Rum can also be used as well as tequila. Both can add a VERY different taste to your Shots.

Rum

Also, I have found a VERY yummy rum. Sailor Jerry (http://www.sailorjerryrum.com/index.php)is the name. Now mind you, I DO NOT like the flavor of cherry, howver, this rum has the slightest cherry under-tone and AMAZING! I also do not like to sip straight warm alcohol, BUT, I will make exception for this. It is a GREAT Rum to try, if not keep on hand.

Spiced Rum

When we go on vacation, I find that we usually get a big bottle of Capt Morgan. This can get to be expensive if you want the same at home. I am not a proud alcohol consumer, so I try the "bottom shelf" varities as well. I found Calico Jack and Captian Bleigh Spiced Rums to be VERY comprable when mized with Coke Zero (my favorite :D) Both are < $10 per 750ML.

Ok.... that is all for now. I AM SURE I will add more, and PLEASE add your OWN thoughts, opinions and recipies. This IS NOT chili, so EVERYONE can share :D

I like to take a jar of marachino(sp?) cherries, empty about half of the syrup out of them and add my favorite liqour in. I use Bacardi 151, but you can use whatever you like. Let them sit for a few days, the cherries soak up the good stuff and the longer you let them sit the better they get. Then throw them in some jello shots made with your favorite jello and booze. Let them sit up over night and then the next day you have jello shots mixed with the cherries and a really good time.:D I used to make these back in my Army days, that may be why most of my Army time is kinda blurry.

Put two solid ice cubes in a short glass with a thick base and pour single barrel scotch over the top. Enjoy responsibly.

Scotch Single Malt 30yrs old.

...or if that is out of your price range,

18yr old Rye or a good Bourbon will do.

I came up with a new Summer-time drink:

Three-Olives Grape Vodka
Squirt (if you can find it - I guess Sprite will work)
Ice

Drink quickly and heavily.....

or Basil Hayden neat...

Jager is some nasty nasty stuff. I got my wife (who normally doesn't drink) to do shots of jager at a party not to long ago... I ended up sleeping on the couch. She ended up not very happy with me....

2 measure Parot Bay Key Lime Rum
1 measure triple sec or curraco or Grand Marnier
2 measure sour mix
1/2 measure lime juice
1/2 Fresh lime
Ice to order
I like it stirred rather than shaken

I have hundreds of my own favorites. Just wish I could afford the spirits...

Instead of Guinness, try "Dragon Stout" from Jamaica Mon. A much better example of a Foreign Extra Stout. (in my opinion)

While I don't drink anymore, when I did I always looked forward to a shot of Jaegermeister served with a pickled egg. Chase with a tap of Blatz. Repeat.
