Well, now you'll just need to light the fireplace and cozy up with a glass of wine. Fortunately you should have plenty!:P

No snow here either, in fact not since the mid to late 70's, and I think that was in January or February.

I was at Miami Zoo one winter, '83-84 maybe, and it snowed there, three days before Christmas. Didn't last, but it stuck.

It seems around election time the MD area gets a blizzard which is really anything more than 12" since most people can't drive in a 1/4" before there is accidents all over the place. People think since they have a 4x4 truck or SUV their fine. Ummm no, you use 4x4 mode when your either pulling something in the snow or getting yourself unstuck.
I know one morning on the way to work after we got a major ice storm I was following the highway as it made a slight left bend and the bend itself was on an overpast for an exit and made out of concrete, hit that ice and felt the car just slide forward and not turning and I knew I was on ice. I didn't touch the wheel, brake or gas, was just ready for it to grab dry road and I would correct then. I would of slammed into the car next to me on the right with the MM but thank god they slid also lol.

Anyhoo, it is snowing here now. A trace on the ground with much more to come their saying. Its 1:20pm and snowing like heck here. Now their saying 6-12" by tomorrow morning. I better see if the blower will start.
Its snowed enough here that the plows are now out, one just went by.

This is nuts! Looks like mid January out there. I can't see my neighbor's house from here. All after school activities are cancelled in our area. I tried to drive the Aveo to the nearest grocery store and turned around at my inlaws 1/2 mile from my house. I barely made it up the hill to my driveway. Lousy allseason tires. Guess I'll be getting up at 0400 tomorrow morning to clear the driveway and attempt to make it to work... No snow days for me :(

Well Ray, I gloated too soon. :o Had sleet and freezing rain on my way in to work and snow accumulation on the way home...........with the ever popular power outages, including all of the stoplights within 8 miles of my home! Traffic snarled and creeping. Fortunately there was one intersection with police on the scene directing traffic. We were all grateful for that! LOL Tomorrow I'm driving to Atlantic City on business. OH JOY.:depress: :snowman:

Right now my wife is stuck at my station, where she went when she couldn't get out of town and go home. All roads going south are blocked by accidents. Some bad, with trucks involved. A state DOT plow is stuck on the main N-S road east of me. It took the school 2 hrs to get my daughter home this afternoon. A town plow just did our hill 1/2 hr ago. When he comes back I'll have to shovel as its too heavy for the blower. Did I mention the worst of it isn't here yet? but, we don't have hurricanes, tornados, floods, :D

Yea, I was on a couple hours ago when BANG! a transformer blew up about 3/10 of mile north of me. Down it went again... This is that really heavy, gloppy almost all water snow that weighs a ton to move. I hope our early piece of winter ends soon. :(

Thats what she thought Haggis, HAH, 1 hr delay. We know how to deal with minor snowfalls here. :D What bothers me is this usually goes away the next day this time of year and it didn't. It never got above freezing here yesterday and was in the low 20's this morning. Like I said it looks like January.
