Yesterday I went to Walleyworld to get oil to change three vehicles. With four of the 5quart bottles of Mobil-1 in the buggy, off to the checkout we went. When the scanner saw bottle three the clerk said "sorry, you can only have two of these". HUH? Barb just grabbed the other two and headed for another checkout. Why?" I asked. "Dunno", the clerk said. "There's no special on 'em or sign saying a limit of two, it seems stupid", I observed. "Dunno", she said. "Is it some sort of Gummet regulation?" "Perhaps they think I might be building a Mobil-1 bomb". "Dunno", she said, the computer says you can only buy two". Barb's got her two bottles paid for and in a bag and I'm checked out, .....Barb says, "let's go".

"Isn't that the dumbest thing you've ever heard?" I asked. "It's Wall Mart", she answered. :banghead:

Anyone else tried to buy too much oil? :dunno:

I just bought three containers just the other day there----one a 5Gal. and the other two were quarts....for a total of 7 qts....and no problem-------

I quit trying to figure out stupid, or wasting time talking to morons. Finding the quickest way around a problem works, best for me. I just thought someone might have had enough cash on hand to make a giant purchase like that and got turned down, like me.

Guess we'll have to wait until Rich reports in. That is, if Denise allows him to have that much cash, all at once. :D

If that was the case they didn't say so, nor was it marked as such. The clerk didn't know any reason except what came up on her screen saying that customers were not permitted to buy more than two gallons of oil. In any case we didn't wait to learn the reason, or for the Feds to come and lead us away for interrogation. :eek:

Too bad you weren't in Alaska where your Governor would have fought with the privately owned oil companies to give you "free" Mobil 1 just for being a resident there.

That and the free cash she already fought to get the residents would make it really easy to keep the pimpmobile...pimpin.

No no no, gosh darn it, it's not called welfare, socialism, or communism when a Republican does it.

Wal-Mart Bingo, that's friggin' funny! I gotta print some of these! I love going to Wal-Mart at about 2 in the morning wearing my Border Patrol hat, scaring the be-jesus out of all the "hard workers living in the shadows".:bandit: Now I can combine it with THIS game!!
