So from what I can tell the only difference between the two units is the DVD related playback, the details on the navigation and the warranty? Does that sound correct?

RCA outpout voltage is higher on F90.

I checked the specs and didn't really see anything other than that, and of course the output voltage.

The reason I ask is I'm looking for a "drop in" navi system like this one but don't plan on doing full-on components, multiple amps and custom sub box, etc. Just some upgraded speakers and probably a BassLink, just because I have one and it fits my needs.

If you do not need DVD then the AVIC F700 is what you need.
