Hi fellow Marauders:

Rained on Saturday so thought I’d check the MM plugs after putting on a few miles with the Lidio tune.

The plugs looked OK so then sprayed some carb cleaner into the TB and MAS while I was at it. Noticed in the WOT position, the butterflies appear not to be fully opening, maybe 7/8 of the way.

The WOT linkage stop Arm is pretty wide so it may not like bending with out creating other linkage problems.

The dremmel tool route is an option but if too much metal is removed then it will be a PITA to correct.

Has anyone else noticed this condition on their MM, if so how adjusted and results?

Thanks

There is a bracket on top of the intake that holds the cables. Is it bent?? Do you have any slack in the cable near the linkage?

Hi Blackened300a

I did remove the plastic cover over the linkage and all is tight and no visible linkage deformity.

It appears to me just a tolerance build-up from all of the linkage and TB casting which prevents the Butterflies to completely open.

This weekend will check the upper and lower WOT butterflies dimensions with vernier calipers which will give me a precise measurement.

Then I will know what I’m dealing with and noodle out the best why to adjust if necessary.

Will also install my new Valentine Radar Detector utilizing the Bleandmount rear view mirror mounting bracket. Plan to drop the overhead console to tap into a switched 12 volt source for neat install.
