When it was all said and done this is what the MM looked like:

But with a little TLC here is the updated look, Anti Bling:

Just figured I'd share the Blackmobile theme. Who needs Chrome or Polished unless it's on the wheels and blower.

Thanks guys, now the only problem is the Alt. stands out like a sore thumb, but that will be another project.

I like it. Murdered out is right. How was this look accomplished and how far you gonna take it?
You need a normal size air filter on that thing, not a hand puppet!

I was given a spare top intake which I wire wheeled down to and seriously ugly finish but smooth surface. Then I went at it with High temp engine (500 degree) paint and when it was cured I waxed it. I took off all the parts including the throttle body and painted those also. when reinstalled I went at the bolt caps with a paint soaked Q-Tip. We'll see what the paint will do in time. I'll probably go as far as the Alt. that will be it, the lower intake plenum I'll leave alone.
My motto, if you can't make it shine, Make it blend in.

I hear ya, the filter in the first pix was switched out by Dennis, for one that is twice that size, when he put the air filter box in last spring. You would believe how much time I spent trying to get the K&N CAI filter to mate up to this setup before sold it. :shake:

That would've been the first idea if the unit wasn't polished. The look I'm going for is everything is invisible and the head unit is visually suspended in mind air.

You should have painted the whole engine beige that way you will not notice when it gets dirty.
