I thought i would bring in the MM for it's 1st E-test under my ownership before I store it, bad news is that it failed.....

ASM2525 TEST results (1500 RPM)

HC ppm..limit 52 reading: 152

NO ppm..limit 385 reading: 592

CO % I passed 0.29 to a reading of 0.24

The car passed the idle test....

It might be my cats since a strong sulfur smell has been apparent for the last several months.

Oil changed before e-test, new plugs , PCV valve, fuel filter, sea foamed 2x a year. Possibly looking for some high flow cats (Magnaflow's) if anyone has the part# i would appreciate it, any other suggestions will be great. Thx again everyone........

I can send you a tune with a lean AF ratio that should get you passed no problem

Do I return it to stock then run your tune? or do I just load it in.

Sorry, my bad :o

By the way, how does it work there for emissions testing? Is it yearly?

I must say it is nice to live in Alberta. No Sales tax, no emission tests, ...

Every 2 years here in Maryland, just do the OBD-II scan and on my way after taking my $14. Diesels are exempt and in some counties they don't do emissions at all.

Was the car @ operating temp? That could easily affect both CO and NOx.

Every two years must be nice. We have to go thru emissions every year here in Tennessee.

Great question, I brought the car on a 20 min boot around town then brought it in to Ford, the guy told me that they changed the oil before they did the e-test () which in my opinion probably hurt my test results. I ran out and bought some "Guaranteed to Pass" from CRC , I'm on my last bit of gas before I top it off with some 94, I'll bring it in again and see what happens, this time I'm staying there to inspect the e-test.

This is a good thing to know before you move somewhere. Is there a weblink master map or some such listing for who has and who does not have emission testing?

WTF is an emissions test? In Alberta, if you're not gushing exhaust, you're considered a puny weakling.
