Where does the OBD II port get it's temp data from??
Mine is reading 190*++ and the pan is about 160* according to my infrared pyrometer!!:shake:
Also, I had 20K miles on my fluid with operating temps in the 195*-205* range this summer and when I installed the new pan the fluid looked like I just poured it out of the bottle so I don't buy the fluid degradation story above 180*!!:shake:
I was thinking about another cooler but where would I locate it and how cool is too cool??
Marauderjack:burnout:
Its a resistor in the trans that butts right up to the valve body.

Resistor??
Resistor??
Im pretty sure Im right, If I remember my conversatin with Darin correctly.
BTW, pretty much all temp senders work based on a resistor inside.

Well sounds like it could be a thermistor simular to a resistor only temp sensitive.

Zack,
Would you happen to know at what temperature the thermostat in the trans cooler opens?? I'm thinking about an auxiliary cooler before the OEM or should it be after the OEM???

located a trans cooler in front of the radiator low, 2 bars running lft to right, slight angle. double strapped. if yu run it before oem the cooling effect will be less.
