I'm thinking about putting a chip in my 2003 mm.... Can anyone inform me on them... Do they really boost hp and gas mileage??? Do they burn out ur engine? What's the downside to having a chip? ....and i think it might void my extended factory warranty.... I only have 43k miles... Suggestions welcome???

IMO chips suck, get an xcal with a tune of choice.

It depends on whether you're talking about the chips sold by the vendors on this site or the e-Bay "chips". If it's the former, then they DO actually works as claimed, and no, they won't "burn out" your engine. Call Dennis or Lidio and talk to them.

If you mean the "chips" sold on e-Bay, save your money; they're worthless junk.

IM not so HO, the best of both worlds is a "multi-place" chip with custom tunes. It cost more in the long run, but you get a little more.
