Sorry about the jerky footage. I had to zoom down the track a 1/4 mile in order to pick out Merc. Camera couldn't zoom back out fast enough. Marc's car howls! Exellent run!

Excellent footage .... no problem. Maybe a wide-angle lens would have picked up the Viper somewhere in the frame after the "green light". :D

I was a newb...my Marauder had but lonely gears and a Reinhart tune...
I met that red Viper on Rocky River drive near Cleveland Hopkins.
It was a balmy quiet Sunday evening.
The driver, with his top open, and lovely girl friend sitting next him was unphased by my taunts at previous traffic lights.

On the last light, he literally handed my ass to me as that red demon lit up and pulled away like a jet launching from an aircraft carrier.

I was humiliated, his grin was visible, as well as his girl friend's fiendish laugh.

You folks supported and condoled me. I swore someday I would secure my revenge. We have come a long way....and you have proven for all of us....

Vipers are but Tercels on any given Sunday.:cool:

It drives like any standard super charged marauder until the hammer the go pedal. The gas mileage is in the low twenty range to high teens. Fun to drive a very good on the street. That's the beauty of modern day power adders. The danger is the understanding that your tires will spin badly under high boost.

Overkill, I have 4:10s, a 3000 stall converter, 18 pounds of boost, and looking for more. I would not call that overkill, but I would say it's perfect for the kill. In my world it's all about reaction times and the next 60 feet. I am looking for 1.4-1.5 sixties. I currently average a 1.6 and flash a 1.5 on a good day. I love what torque can do for a 4400 pound car. Maybe I should use that on my next license plates, OVRKILL.
