Work has dried up in Ohio as usual this time of year.
No other option but to travel if I want a paycheck.

Last year the options were limited to Denver and Portland. Both cold. :o

This year it is Georgia and surrounding states.
I start off in Augusta and go from there starting the week after the Thanksgiving break.

I have never been down there in the fall. So how is the weather into the Christmas break?

I am only going to be down for three weeks and I need to figure out clothing. I also learned the company is trying to save money and want us to drive our own vehicles rather than fly/rent as we normally do on trips over 450 miles. I now need to take the snow tires back OFF the Focus.
Geez...I just put them on over the weekend.

Weather's nice down this way Nov - Jan. "Cold" evenings (relative term if you're from the North), i.e. upper 20's to mid-30's but daytime temps will warm up into the 50's, maybe even the 60's. Suggest you bring a variety of clothes that you can layer.

Let me know if you get down this way, and will be staying over for a weekend, would enjoy getting together with you as Augusta's only a couple hours away from me.

I am a contractor with one of the largest EF&I companies in the world.
We cater to the telecoms and have a presence around the world. Well..until recently we sold our footprint in the middle east and Africa.

I personally work for AT&T primarily, and perform some fuctions with various wireless providers. I intstall the backbone networks that make everything work. :D

This time of year when budgets and new years are starting over is always a slow time. AT&T's offering of the U-Verse package has kept us busy here in Ohio most of the year. My co-workers and I built the central office platform here in Ohio. Now they need to sell their product, and hopefully request further buildouts.

Two years ago, it was Comcast. They kept us busy with their VOIP package of tv, phone, and internet. We built the network in Michigan and the greater Sacramento area that winter.

From what I hear now...I may end up anywhere from Georgia, Florida, to Louisiana next month.

Fortunately, we have 20 jobs on the books for Cleveland starting in January, so I won't be on the road too long this year.

In 2004 I was home 74 days. In 2005 I was home 62 days. I 2006 I was home 163 days. In 2007 I was home the entire year.

My travel fluctuates with the economy, and the technology advances.

Therefore, I must say...regardless of your provider, be it home tv, wireless, internet...keep buying stuff!!!!:D The public demand keeps us busy.
