For those who are interested, here is a side by side look at the factory rim with clear coat removed.

wow... looks awesome... Keep me posted on how things turn out with those... sounds like alot of TLC to maintain then w/o the clear coat... who in the area did that for you?

What did that run you?

Strip and polish was just under $100/wheel. 2 rims required a bit more effort, as they were in rough shape.

Sweet ive heard prices range from $200-$300 a wheel. U got a deal sir :up:

Here is the why. 4 Rims to look the same. 2 Rims were gouged and the clear was scratched and road rashed, looked like a$$. 1 Rim was the full sized spare. And the 4th, well it just need to comply with the other 3 so as to not look different. :banana2:

Send me a PM and I will give you the guy's info. He also did the powder coat for me on the black rims. Depending on color the powder coat cost between $65 to $80/ wheel.

Left is fact clear. Right is stripped and polished. Solo is stripped and polished.

I will let you know how they are for up-keep. I was going to use them for track and show. They really shine up nicely.

The stripped and polished is brighter, not trick photography. I think that the luster will be harder to maintain...we will see.
