 Have a 2004 Black Beauty with the Light Flint Interior. A small pice of the leather drivers seat about the size of a dime has worn slightly over time and the other day I noticed a very tiny hole in it about the size of a nail head. Is there any kind of repair kit for something like this? How's best way to fix?

I can't recall the name of the stuff, but it's the same as cloth repair. It's a putty and some colorant you mix up, spread on the hole, cover, peel and go.

Permatex makes it - available at Pep Boys.

Is it durable enough, remember it wore through because of the fact that it is in a highly "used" area. Mine has worn through also, (drivers seat, left seat wing, one inch from the edge, about one inch forward of the seat back). Several of us discussed this in a recent thread, but nothing came of it other than we are all a little wide in the back side, and that this was most probably the cause. I think that I'll buy a cover, and when it is replaced, I'll have that area padded, (and any other area like it), with some heavy leather, like an old leather belt.

When my MM was brand new....my son tore a 2" rip in the backseat.
My dealership had an upholstery guy that came to their shop on occation.
They hooked me up with an appointment and he fixed it for $50 right at the dealership while the car was there for an oil change.
Cannot even tell it was torn.
Perhaps your dealer has a source as well.

We figured that it started to show up at about 60,000 miles, if, like I said, you are a little wide in the butt. I think that there were about 7, or 8 that answered in the previous thread.

I'm wide in the butt. But that's not why. I have a very thick wallet (not stuffed with money however) with all kinds of junk like ID cards and other stuff for discount clubs etc. and it digs into the seat. That was the cause. I like the suggestion to try Pep Boys. I need to go there over the weekend anyway for new wiper blades. Thanks for your response.

Too bad the thickness of the wallet wasn't an abundance of money. I could help you get rid of that problem real fast!
