More proof that something is only worth what someone else is willing to pay. One of only 6 - '63 Super Duty Tempests ever made. The guy had NO idea what he was selling until the big bids started coming in. Still alot of work and $ to get it back into shape.

I think that story is amazing. Here we have the worst recession in our lives, GM is about to go belly-up and old stripped American iron sells for a quarter million dollars. Awesome!

I see it as a boon for the family of the guy who lost the loved one to inherit the car for one.

For two, it's another piece of automotive history bound to be preserved.
