On my way to work, i was doing about 50 going with the flow of traffic. Stopped at a few lights no problems. I was at 1 light, it turnned green, pushed on the gas, I got to 40mph, i noticed the gears didn't change. Tried to go over 40 and the engine jerked. I pulled over, put in park, turned car off, than turned back on pushed on the gas pedal, i saw that the speedometer needle didn't move. Does anybody have any ideas what it could be ?

It sounds like the computer lost the sensor information for some reason. Is it giving you a flashing OD light?

Just for clarity, are you expecting the speedometer to move while in park, or were you back in drive and moving down the road?

I was doing 40 in drive. had my trans flushed and still the same problem. To the dealer i go. I was told that the cable 2 the engine from the trans was not set right. I had some engine work done about 2 months ago, maybe thats it.:mad2:my trans is under warrenty, but i hate 2 get a rental.

The friend that told you about the cable to the engine, knows nothing. If it were an AOD, yes. Yours, no.

Get it fixed under your warranty.
