White Castle Vs. Waffle House

What do you like more? Both are open 24 hours a day, both you can get filled up for six dollars and both come out of you very quickly! I wish Chicago had a Waffle House because we have a few White Castles. My choice is for Waffle House.

Wisconsin only has one White Castle that I know of. It's in Kenosha. I always hit it up if I'm there. Usually before stopping at the dog track. I've only been to one Waffle House (Lexington KY) It sucked ass. White Castle all the way!

We have neither here in New England, but I have eaten at both in my travels, and I can see why they call waffle house the awful house down south.. The food was some of the worst I have ever had.

Now on the other hand, the once or twice a year I pass thru New Jersey, I always stop at the White Castle on Rt. 17 near the Meadowlands, and get some burgers, there is something about them I just love... Oh, and I usually get three or four CASES to go, to bring home to my friends and throw them all in our fridges, although they usually only last a few days :beatnik:

FYI, did you remember last year when Kid Rock got arrested in Atlanta for a fight at a waffle house after one of his concerts, the judge set as part of his release/probation he had to stay away from ALL waffle houses for one year ? LOL

both are local, waffle is about 4 miles away, and the castle is 12 miles, I wouldn't drive across the street for the castle. At our local AAA ball park they gave away free coupons for free burgers, I never took one.

I love that place, but they don't like me. Last time I was in one I suggested they keep bands like The Beatles and The B-52s out of their music selection bceause The Beatles aren't American and The B-52s weren't around in the 50s for a 50s style restaurant.

You need to each about 6 of em to feel full. You'd be better off with a McDonalds double cheeseburger for 99 cents really.

I know there's one near Midway (is that right?) on I-81...when I lived in Mass, would stop there when the fam and I would drive to NC to visit relatives...usually on the way back to Mass cause I knew it would be months before the next chance to eat there again. My kids didn't like it then, but over the past couple of months, they ask to go to WH when I have them. WIN!

Always had the WaHo growing up, not White Castle, so I am biased towards WaHo, but wouldn't turn down the chance to go to WC...as seen in Brad's Looseville video.

Edit: For those that went and had a 'bad' experience, sorry to hear that. I've gotten less than desirable results on more than one occasion. It's not the food that's bad, it's usually the cook that prepares it and/or the manager of that particular WH that determines if it is good or bad.
