Decluttering and departing with prized and loved possessions is a challenge. You have to become detached emotionally from the objects. One way to ease the transition is to find good homes for things. Is anything collectible? Would a public library or school library treasure a donation of books or DVDs? You can still go read the book or borrow the DVD from the library, while letting many others enjoy doing the same thing. In trying to sell anything, the value you hold to an item may or may not have the same value to a buyer.
