Unfortunatly I have friends that would do the same exact thing if I told them that water cleans out a engine.

Water in the crankcase? :lol: I wouldn't even try that on my F-Bomber.

My auto shop teacher once told me that running an engine with a few quarts of diesel fuel in the crank case would clean it out real good.

Of course he also used to gently grind the worn/rounded bottoms off old hydraulic lifters and re-use them.

I'd try that diesel trick on an old $10 garage sale lawn mower before attempting such a boneheaded move on a Cobra motor.

I read it 3 times, because I refused to believe what I just read. I love the part, "The car has been nothing but trouble for me. I think I am done with it." He's the trouble aka the problem...not the car!

Hahah too funny. You know I have actually heard that trick about the diesel fuel. Would I try it on my vehicles? Probably not.
