It has been the best birthday in a long time--all the kids, grandkids and a new great-grandaughter showed up--the party just broke up. Got a GREAT present--more details tomorrow--I'm pooped. Well, yesterday was a day I won't forget for a long time. I was expecting the usual Thanksgiving Day family get-to-gather--that it was also my 80th birthday made it a little more interesting. We were planning on all the kids that lived locally to be there--about 11 people at 2 PM ---well, at 11 AM my only son, Kevin, and his wife Karen arrived from their home about 100 miles away--and in Karen's arms was my newest great-grandaughter, Kimi--1 year old.. I had never seen her and I had no Idea they was coming. We ended up with 15 people, 24 lbs of the best turkey you ever ate and good food out the ears. After the meal, we men adjourned to the den to watch the Cowboys game--Go Cowboys!! After the Cowboys won, we had the usual cake and reading of the cards. All the kids had pooled resources and bought 1 present, Ginny gave me a GPS and a friend had dropped off a VHS-to-DVD recorder. Then the big surprise--look at the attached document--WOW !!!--they sure know how to make a Dad happy. Ginny isn't too happy about it, but the kids say they will take care of that. Due to scheduling problems, it looks like I'll actually do my thing next May--I'll let you know. Then the little one put the icing on the cake when she finally went to sleep in Pop-Pop's arms---I must be the most blessed 80 year old on the planet. Again, thanks to all you wonderful folks for thinking about me on my special day--I hope all of you have as many happy years as I have had--God, Bless You All, Maury and Ginny and the Kids
