I'm thinking about a 2005 Aviator, which is basically the same engine as the MM. But is the Aviator drive by wire (throttle)?
Thanks,
Tom

According to the Ford repair book, it is not drive by wire.

We wouldn't trade our Aviator for anything.
Poor milage, but very suitable for a 4 person family truck that holds two strollers.
Awesome with AWD and snow tires around here. Unstopable for the most part.

if they could make an 05 aviator without fly by wire, why couldnt they make an 05 Marauder?

The marauder died because it was slow, overpriced, and nobody wanted it. And lets not forget elena ford and her "new direction" for mercury (the female market) :shake:

yeah well that was one of the official reasons the Marauder was discontinued. (no room for fly-by-wire) of course the real reason was mis-management of the whole project.
