Now that is has gotten colder I've noticed when I start my car up and it gets a little warm I have more exhaust flow coming out the drivers side than the passenger side. Now after I have been driving for a while and the car I can see in my mirrors what looks like an equal amount coming out both exhaust tips.
Could this be a sign of early blockage in the passenger cat? I only have the front two since the rear two were deleted a few months shy of 2 years ago. I never really noticed it last winter but I can def. see a difference now. Current mileage is 107-108k miles.

I get the same thing when its warming up. The Foxbody next to me did the same thing.
Idle is a really low flow of air. I wouldn't worry about it much.
My crown vic does that 212,000 miles.

Will do, I'll just keep an eye on it.
Kind of was hoping it would be bad so I could bolt on some off-road or new high flow catted mid-pipe lol.

Are you simply talking about steam?? If so you cannot measure exhaust "flow" by the steam flow.....:shake:

Well yeah I know you can't measure exhaust flow by that but when I actually put my hand in front of the tip I can feel a whole lot more flow from the driver's side compared to the passenger side. Even in the morning after the car has warmed up to 185 degrees and head up my road I've been told only exhaust "steam" is coming out the driver's side.

Stock mid pipe, I think it just takes a lot longer for the passenger side cat to warm up....I guess. I dunno.

Thought I had a blocked cat once. Actually, I knew it wasn't blocked, but it was so cool to unbolt the cats from the headers and cruise around making noise.

I don't know about the cats warming up at different speeds, that does not sound right. If one side really is restricted I would look into your theory. They should be equal or close. You may really have a broken honeycomb in one of your cats.

I noticed that sometimes at a cold idle I have hardly any steam coming out the tips. I wouldnt worry about it.

Do any aftermarket mid-pipes bolt up to our factory exhaust manifolds?
I know they won't attach to the back half of the system without some extenders so that won't be a problem.
