View Full Version : Any Gouge on a Lightning?

I'm going to check out a 2000 Lightning tomorrow. Does anyone have any experience with them or know a website with a good Lightning forum?

nloc.net or svtperformance.com Both are great sites and have the info you will need.:D Be careful with the older L's they have the 4 thread heads and are more prone to shooting a spark plug. The late 03's & 04's have 8 thread heads to help with the issue but still has happened. What color, mileage, mods?

Thanks for the info. Some of our CAM Marauders have had problems with spark plugs as well. Good advice, thanks again.

Here's a description: It looks like the Torch Red on my Corvette. It has 49K miles. It's been garage kept and never driven in bad weather. I'll find out more tomorrow.

Looks MUCH better without the electric razor aftermarket grille! Nice L.

I blew a plug out in my Cobra...hate when that happens.

Beautiful truck! It looked good with and without the grille. The red I'm looking at has dual pipes extending out just in front of the rear wheels. The front and rear lights have been changed to 01 OEM style.

Thanks, yeah the aftermarket grille & front plate holder looked cheesy on the L.

Picked up the Lightning this afternoon. It's in excellent condition with 47K miles and several more mods I found after reviewing the receipt history. There should be a pic attached if I did it right.
