Well, I'm finally able to schedule my long-delayed trip to see Dennis to get KB#10 tuned. Ever since I got the new Cobra long-block put in and the Art Carr Extreme Street transmission, I've been less than happy with the tune or shift profiles it had. Sure, its driveable, but not as nice as I know it could be. Good people have tried to tune it, but none has succeeded in resolving these little problems. So I'm going to the expert, because I think this is a question of experience with the computer. I absolutely trust Dennis, moreso because, after a little fix he did last year in Kentucky, a whole lot of these little problems went away. Imagine what he could do with all his tools readily at hand.

So, I'll motor down to J'ville on Thursday (25 Dec.) and be in Dennis' shop bright and early Friday morning. Anybody in the area that'd like to come over and watch or introduce themselves, please do so. I haven't met many of the Southern folks (not since MV1, anyway), so come in and say 'hi.'

Florida, here I come!

Mark

Um there is a really good Mustang shop w/ dyno in Lorton, VA (springfield)

http://www.springfieldmotorsport.com

They have done supercharged Marauder dyno tunes before. It shouldn't take a cross country excursion to get a tune but it's up to you!! Good luck

Mark and I have known each other for years, so I will be glad to see you drive safe.

Right. And just as a matter of respect, maybe it is a bit uncool to recommend another shop on a vendor's site. Just a friendly reminder. All the best.

Not a vendors site. A vendors forum.

I think that's still the case. (I did know what you meant):)

Thanks for the good wishes. My considered estimation is that tuning a supercharged Marauder is a matter of hands-on experience with the computer, with different engines and with different transmissions. I simply know of no one with more hands on, and more success, than Dennis. I just want to get it completely right. It's just been a matter of arranging days off so I could zip to Florida and give Dennis up to 2 days to do the car, and then zip back home. The extra Federal holiday on the 26th made it all possible.

Safe travels Mark. Traffic oughta be pretty light on I-95 South on Christmas Day. Hit your horn as you pass Exit 160 in Virginia -- I'll wave from my living room. ;)

Say "Hi" to my car while you are there. I'll miss seeing you by "this much" (picture index finger and thumb held REEEALY close together).
