i know it comes with one but when im sitting at a red light my intake temps rise up im just looking for a way i can guarantee no hot air from the engine makes it to my intake just dont want it too look trashy i did it on my 2002 lxsport and idleing at a stoplight my iat would never get above a few degrees than outside temp just wondering if anybody had some ideas but i think ive come up with one that will work and not look trashy but stock my k&n now sucks the hot air from belowthe filter set up at stop lights so im trying to make it a little better thats all

my only question... is how to keep it from sucking the hot air underhood when im at idle without making it look stupid and trashy... i used a black 13 gallon rubbermaid trashcan

If you don't want it to look trashy, maybe you shouldn't use a trashcan. Sorry, dude, I couldn't resist. I think that you may have to live with the looks or live with the factory design/heat. I sense that either one will affect your neuroses.

that trashcan bit was a good one lol it actually came out decent on my vic and worked perfect i mean sitting at a stoplight 2 degrees hotter at the most but after some thinking richs plan sounds good with a little tweaking btw could you instead some how hook up a vacuum motor to the inside of your intake and when you want flip the switch and hose wala poor mans sc
