The dealership I work "Northeast Lincoln Mercury" is officially out of business. This was the the regions number one selling dealer for 2007 and 2008, but due to the economy we could no longer make it. This has been a Lincoln Mercury dealer since 1954 and I've worked here since I got out of high school in 1969. 39 years here at 57 years old I never dreamed this would happen. Thanx for all the parts busniness you people have given me over the years.

Thanx, Ray Jermyn Sr.

OMG Ray.
I'm sorry to hear the incredibly bad news.
It's sad that such a great dealership with such a great history is gone.

Are you getting any compensation for all your years of service?

Thank you for all the times that you helped me with parts, including the time I drove up from Baltimore to pick up TWO trunk organizers.

Thanks for all your support to our membership, the automotive community and the Armed Services. I'd like to add a personal thanks for your quick response when I ordered my trunk organizer.

In a small business like this, there are no packages. Just unemployment. I'm 57, my house is paid for and the kids are grown. My wife has a good job, so I will manage.

Yes, I never lived high, just a modest twin home in northeast Phila. I was going to move to the suburbs and few years ago, but thought that this might happen some day. I never believed it really would. Thank God I didn't buy that expensive house. I have to buy a car tomorrow since I won't have the demo I enjoyed for 27 years that I was Mgr.

Sorry to hear the news. The dealer I bought my MM from, Regency LM in Mesquite, TX, sold out to another company this year and they promptly closed the doors a few months later. The dealership was an ultra-modern facility, a real nice place, cost millions to build just 10 years ago (!) and its gone.

My old LM dealership closed sometime in late 06. We were a part of the large number of closing Ford/LM dealers in Queens and the surrounding area. Just couldnt do it anymore on 20 units a month and next to no profit.

Sorry man... Best of luck to you, and god bless.

Sorry to hear this. Nothing left but the silence I suppose.

I was a young buck just washing cars at a dealer many years ago when we got the same news on a cold November day. I was still in school - just a kid. Nothing to lose. But I do remember all my "adult" co-workers. Nary a wrench was spinning and small groups of quiet conversation around the place. Silence.

Be well. Life has amazing things in store for us - when we participate. Don't forget to keep your head up and be proud of what you have accomplished.

I only bought small stuff - but felt I received service from a friend when I did. Thanks so much for the past and good luck on the future.

Best Regards - Jonathan

This is truly sad news. I can't understand how the top producing (sales wise) dealership in the region is being closed instead of the low producers.

Sorry to hear about this Ray. As a Ford service Manager I hear this every day. We can only hope that Ford develops vehicles that will capture the interest of the American public (like the Marauder). Only then will we have the market share that will allow us to carry on. You and your Family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Thanx everyone. It was more than business, it was a friendship. I will stay in touch.
I'm going to work more with Jimmy Biggs and yourwaynetwork, doing the videos and live broadcast for ADRL and 1320X. I'm also going to run car shows for some of the racing series. I'll probably be at a lot of NMRA and NMCA events. At 57 years old, I lived a modest life and never over extended myself. I have a twin home in Northeast Phila. and it's paid for. The kids are grown, my wife has a good job with benefits.

We have a new major sponsor starting Jan first for yourwaynetwork. This should open even more doors for us.
