Anyone have one? Here in BC, Ford is offering $13,500 off of the MSRP, which would put a decently optioned one around $31,000. I am intrigued as it looks like a pretty nicely put together car. I haven't taken one for a test drive but did drive an AWD Fusion recenty which is a nice driver, so if they are similar?
Any input or impressions gratefully received.

Deleted - Thought he was asking about MKS instead of MKZ.

MKZ is the modern day Cadillac Cimmaron.

MKZ is the modern day Cadillac Cimmaron.

Why do you say that? Because of the mid size platform?

Tim,

These guys can give it some juice if you need. I've been talking to them about a hood for the MM, heat extractor type, low profile OEM appearance. Seem like good guys so far.

Our dollar has dropped back down from parity to about .80, so with RIV fees and other importing costs, it's not quite worth it anymore. I brought my MM up from Tenn. when our dollar was .99 of yours, so that was worth it.

Its the same car a Fusion or a Milan, why pay more for a fancier version? Each to their own but I dont see it. t

Fusions and Milans don't have the 2.7L V6...

MKZ is very nice, Interior is "boxy" styled... as are all Lincoln except the OUTDATED towncar.

Import one for cheaper, Very nice though!

it is the 3.0 v6

They dont come with a manual gear box though.

Raudermasters family has one (Fusion) , as does my girlfriends uncle (Milan)

Fusion uses 3.0L Duratec30 rated at 221hp. MKZ uses 3.5L rated at 253hp. Working at a Ford/Lincoln/SVT Dealer, I have had the opportunity to drive them back-to-back. There is a noticeable difference between the two regarding drivability (MKZ better). They are built off the same chassis, with specific suspension tuning for Ford vs. Lincoln. Tires are different compound (Lincoln for quieter running and greater longevity). The AWD handles nicely and gives a bit more grip than the FWD version, although it loses a bit of crispness due to the added weight in the drivetrain.

If you are looking for something sporty, go for the Fusion. Better suspension calibrations for a better handling package. Go one up and get a V6 Fusion SEL Sport (FWD) with the 18" wheel/tire upgrade and suspension tweaks. Otherwise, wait for the 2010 Fusion Sport, as it will get the 3.5L and a handling package. Still a 6-spd autobox and front-drive.
