If your concerned about the amount then you can't afford it and you should not play.
BTW... You forgot the AWD conversion.
That jag is looking cheaper.. eh?

He ran into a snag with a column-mounted shifter for the C4, but I got him a line on an RF controller so he can shift by wire. Just waiting for pics of the install.

It's a hobby, man. If you don't like turning the wrenches yourself or at least picking the parts you want and paying somebody else to bolt them on for you then by all means buy it complete. Or save your pennies and buy a CTS-V or M5 or something.
I had over $10k in mods into my car before I even bought the supercharger. Is it expensive? Sure, and I'm not rich so it's taken me a long time to get my car to the point it's at. But I wouldn't have changed a thing, nor would I have even considered buying it already put together from somebody else. The journey's the thing.

Some people pay more to go around on grass and hit a small white ball into a hole with a club.
It all depends what your hobbies and interests are. If your not spending it on a car, your spending it on something else. It doesn't matter really as long as you have fun.

Just a side note, 252life, I saw you had CV Sport tailights with the amber turn signal lens...
Did you customize them to have the turnsignal work? Just wandering.... any link to a thread already?

I have drawn separate cables for brake light (they connect up to center brake light) and turn signals (they are connect to the front turn signals)
And I have 2 turn signal bulbs in each taillight to make the load right for the relay so it doesn't blink to fast.

"Nav system = 1500"
Wow,I got a Rand McNally Road Atlas for 10 bucks and I can Map Quest a map if I really get lazy. For that $1500 I could get my 4.10's and Addco's and a lot of 93 octane.

Price out a PHP CAI with the CF Metco tube from Reinhart. Looks good but it's not cheap by any means and probably runs about that.
Control arms on the high end I think have been $450 -$475 but now are a bit less.
Either way this is not new information and I'm not sure what the point of this thread is. Yes modifying costs money and it's cheaper to just buy something that already has everything you want, usually (at least it will save you some headaches). But doing the mods your self and the headaches that go along with it are half the fun....in retrospect. :D

Besides for some of us (not me yet) the cars are nearing the end of the 5-6 year payments and that leaves room for 350-500 a month for upgrades that you could'nt afford before.
