• 20 MM Convoy to Fort Knox, KY departs at 10:15 AM (not bad for MM folks) .... MM2004 in the lead

• Arrival at the Patton Museum, Fort Knox, KY at 11:00 AM

• Haggis & Cruztaker busted by tour guide trying to peel a magnetic W.T. logo off a parked truck
• Back to the gift shop to pick up a few souvenirs and a bottle of Wild Turkey 101 and Wild Turkey American Honey
• Convoy of about 10 MMs and 1 Corvette back to Pig City Barbeque Restaurant. Can hear somone's Nav system over the FRS/GMRS radio. Who was it?

And now I have finally met some more MM.Net screen names in person: MM2004, Embassy, jinxed, chapel1, Killjoy, Zack, Mike, DR, Leadfoot281, Knine .... who'd I forget?
Convoys are more interesting when you can hear all the chattering on the FRS/GMRS radios. Check channel 5. If you don't have the radios ... go get some and enjoy a whole new convoy experience.

Make plans to be there all. We are looking forward to it.

Doom has special parking privileges under any/all canopies. :D 2. Alcohol related activities are mandatory. 3. Hampton Inn is the official lodging for mm.net.:snoopy: 4. This is great!
I started this thread as a 'heads up' for members interested in attending this annual event. A teaser thread if you will.
;)
Once I make a few more phone calls this coming week, I will start another thread and a poll for people wanting to attend.
That thread will also have all the information needed as I progress forward.
This thread will then be closed to limit any confusion between the REAL thread once started.
There should be enough notice for members to plan their vacation appropriately for this event.
If all goes as planned, the itinerary should be complete by mid-February.

Yes, plans have been submitted to the wonderful Metro Planning Commission and should be approved shortly. Cash is something I know not of, I am married with two kids. Fox body projects seem to fall into my lap, I'm by no means searching for extra work or projects.
As for the Marauder engine, mine is starting to burn 2-3 quarts between oil changes and noticably smokes under boot at high RPM. Its a ticking time bomb in an aluminum block. Again, some parts happened to fall into place and I'm only short a few more things to make it complete.

Heck, MOST of the cars at Kentucky were BLUE. How would that help? :dunno:
No thanks. I hear the blue ones are slower.:flamer: NOT. 14.3 Stock tires, Zack tune, 4:10's and K&N only. :burnout:

The date is about the be locked in once a few more phone calls are made.
As of yesterday, the plan is coming together nicely considering it is still in the very early stage.
I want to thank everyone for their kind words and suppport for this annual gathering.
It is fun to plan it and more fun in experiencing it.
Honestly, it is getting damn difficult to outdo myself from the previous year(s) but feel this will be a great time!
Lots of neat stuff is being worked out.
Again, Once I lock in the date, another thread will be started with a poll and all pertinent information about the meet.
And this thread will then be closed with links to the new thread.
Stay Tuned!

Geez Louise that sounds like alot of fun. I'm only 2 hours away from Louisville. Better get ahold of Embassy and pick-up P71 and fast!!! We had a GM B-body get together in Louisville a couple of years ago. We planned it for the first weekend in October so the weather would be nice. 96 degree's and the AC broke. AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

After watching the videos and reading these posts, I will try like hell to attend. It combines 3 of my favorite things: Alcohol, food, Marauders, friends, road trippin, and beer! I'd like to swing back down thru west TN and visit some family and friends on the way back. That reminds me of a joke we used to tell in TN. Why do all the trees in Tennessee lean North? Cause Kentucky sucks! :D

Hey DOOM. I received confirmation back from the Management at the Hampton Inn that my spot under the canopy has been reserved "For the Bluerauder" as requested. My room will overlook the space. There will be a sign prominently displayed. The guy at the desk has been instructed to eat potato chips and touch greasy fingers all over any Black cars parked illegally in that spot. Sorry for the inconvenience. ;)

I just got off the phone with the Owner of the Hotel and your request has been slightly adjusted:
Guaranteed parking in the usually full compact lot.
Your room (single twin) will be closest to the expressway at the opposite end of the compact parking area.
A courtesy cardboard box and a sharpie will be provided to you at check-in to make your prominent sign.
The guy at the desk will be terminated for eating on the job.
Sorry for the inconvenience. ;)

Owing to the rarity of the Blue cars, they will, eventually, like the '63-67 Corvette/375 HP 327 solid lifter, Fuelie, exceed by 5X the number that were ever produced.
