View Full Version : Immediate Carlisle headcount needed for our own class!

Heres the deal, I spoke to Rick from Carlisle. He's the guy who is putting the All-Fords@Carlisle event together. I asked him about our own class and heres the deal, I need a headcount and strong registration number's to make a argument to get this done.
If you are planning to go, please post up. If you are definitely going, then register in the STOCK class with mercurymarauder.net as your car club here. http://store.carlisleevents.com/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=CE&Product_Code=2009-027&Category_Code=CANC

I will also need input on how we should break the class down for us. I suggested 03-04 Marauder with the Modified and stock class combined. Any ideas are appreciated. Im not sure if they will do a break down of S/C and N/A because they don't do this for the millions of mustangs that attend so what are the chances of them doing it for us?

I have to send him a email with our info and a headcount of members planning to attend. So please respond to the previous thread in the poll.

They will do it but they will require your credit card to hold them and if someone dont show up or damage the room, thats on your card. I didn't want to take on that responsibility

The Hotel Carlisle has a really good steak house inside and a Karaoke bar that opens at night. Plus there are tailgate parties in the parking lot.

Confirming showfield & Hotel Carlisle here...

and here (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=50206&page=3)...in #44...

...probably have to go with the "combo" class...we certainly had the full spectrum of possibilities there last year so I think we learned from you, DOOM and FastMerc (which was a special pick) that if you leave everybody together the favorites will rise to the top...

Not sure if the general public knows enough about these cars to make a differentiation between stock or relatively stock versus the power-adder/bling route. The only gain if the class was split is Charlie's blue would get a nod on being super clean and a nice presentation versus the raw lumens of DOOMS engine bay (which obviously caught everyone's fancy last year ;)).

Best,
Jonathan

Last year we had "trunk parties" (no tailgate), pizza delivery and lawn chairs. Excellent !!!

Just register with MM.net as your car club and you in the stock class. Last year ts-pa with his GM parked with us with no issues.

Glad you can make it!

Time for me to chime in, again. I'm gonna sign in with the Pimpmobile as stock '04 Marauder to swell the ranks. What you show up with, has little or nothing to do with what you say you might bring. That way we get the assigned parking spaces, and no one but us knows anything about the cars anyhow. The object is to be all together in one place, not win the trophy, which will be won by the nicest car anyway.

If we start getting cute, with sub-groups and such, some of us will end up getting parked out in East Bumfork, next to the CVPI's.

For all intent and purpose, John & Paul will be arriving in a Marauder. There's no penalty for lying, here, you just don't win a trophy, which has nothing to do with why we're going to Carlisle. :D

Bottom line *****THEY DON'T CARE, ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY****** and all we want is a tent and a cool place to hang out together.

I agree, people walking around will be the judge. So dont worry about a little white lie on your info. They dont look at the cars when you sign in either.

As for the tent, that should be squared away by Monday. :cool4:

Absolutely. but your car will have to be parked out in the heat like the rest of ours!

I guess Saturday afternoon will be the official MM.net swim meet at the hotel carlisle.
Thats what we did last year and it was the first time I jumped in a pool and didnt feel any change in temperature.

I believe that was the "VIP Tent" that doubled for church services on Sunday morning. You planning to stick around to give the sermon. ;)

It would be nice to be in the same area by the park, just without the useless schwag stand that they never opened. It blocked the beautiful view of all our cars and took up a lot of potential Marauder parking...

Reservation in showfield confirmed #8465 :D

Interesting that I registered on April 19th last year, the number was #3524. It's my guess that these numbers have nothing to do with the number of registrants, though.

Um, are you guys gonna make me park in back of the tent again, this year? :pimp:
