Go get some Brian Regan DVD's. He's unusually funny and clean. Try "50 First Dates", "The Shawshank Redemption", "Evan Almighty" or "Forrest Gump". You CANNOT go wrong with those movies. Of course it will have to be at your house - have the A/C on about 65 degrees and have blankets handy. You owe me one.

" "The Shawshank Redemption".
Yes because nothing screams date movie like the rape scene and the old man hanging himself. :D

1. Let her pick the movie that she wants to see.
2. It will generally be about Romance and Relationships.
3. Show her that you are man enough to enjoy musicals.
4. There will be no car chases or huge wrecks.
5. If it has more than 2 explosions in it, it will not qualifiy as date-able.
6. If the title makes you a little "queasy and uncomfortable", it qualifies.
7. Don't be embarrassed to be seen entering the movie by your buddies. They will not have dates. You will.
8. Sit down and try to enjoy the story.
9. Don't be commenting on the CGI features .... it won't have any.
10. Smile and Enjoy yourself -- you are there to enjoy her company.
11. Try "Mama Mia" ..... this one is a big hit making the circuit. Girls love it. Its getting awards. Suggest it and you will be Thanked.
12. If you do try the Popcorn  thing ... buy the small popcorn so you don't seem to be bragging. :o
13. Remember that it is just a movie ... over the course of the relationship -- your choices will outnumber hers by 2-to-1 as she defers to your need for speed, excitement, blood, gore and bombs.

Ignore Charlie's step:11.
A real Man will not go to see 'Mama Mia' and it just proves Charlie is whipped.

Ssssssssscuse me. I thought he was looking for helpful hints. Besides I don't need to prove anything. :P

The kind that makes you leave the theatre with more energy than when you got there. The Dark Knight was great, Amy and I were surprised at how good it was and couldn't stop yapping about it when we left, we were pumped up.

Mama Mia is not a helpful hint and if you went and saw it, yes you do need to prove something. That you still have a pair.
I saw Les Miserables in the theatre, WOW! If you know a gal who has read the book, take them to see it if you get the chance. It's like visual 'roofies' when you get home! But I'd never see Mama Mia, what the hell is wrong with you.

If it's something playing now Yes Man will work, but I didn't think it was so great. If something on DVD rent The Notebook. I can't stand it, but it's something women love who are still around our age.

To be honest Mike, just let her pick. Its a movie, we have sat through worse things.
If you have to choose, every girl I have ever met loves "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" with Kate Hudson.
Sounds like a bad movie for a date, but it is kinda funny, and Kate Hudson is eye candy.
