are our lower intake manifolds the same as mach1s? what about the non sc cobras? (dont knot the specific years)

I think they are the same ,The Shelby & Roush intakes are much more advanced.

I'd heard at one time that Roush was part of the developmental work on the Marauder, but don't know to what extent. I'll PM some folks and see if the definitive answer is out there.

The answer, with kudos to FordNut:
"It is the same as the Mach1. I believe the Marauder and Mach1 lowers had some minor improvements over the '99-'01 Cobras."

If they are better then why are they rated 18hp less?

According to Ford, the part numbers are the same for the '01 Cobra and 03-04 Mach 1 but different for the MM. Someone will have to try and see if this works.

More agressive cams were installed in the Mustangs.
The Marauder cams were for more low-end torque.

The marauder cams are the aviator cams iirc.
Also, roush developed the airbox, that was about it
