Just a report for those interested.
Today I got a wheel alignment, first ever since the car was new. My front tire wear was there but not terrible. I got 56K miles out of the front tires before the inner edge wear got to the cords.
The stock alignment showed about -0.8 or -0.9 for the camber. The toe was some negative but not much.
Of course the camber adjusting tabs had to go to get a better adjustment. We tried to unbolt them but there is not enough clearance with the steering rack to get the bolts out of the front. We even loosened the rack but still could not get enough clearance. Ultimately, my alignment guy burned off the tabs with a torch. Then he adjusted to:
-0.2 to -0.3 camber
+0.02 total toe (+0.01 on each side)
This should improve the wear on my new tires.
