Back in the day, the first car I shelled out my hard earned sheckels was a
1970 Opel Gt 1900 S 4sp. Canary yellow with black interior.
Other cool cars I had in order;
1973 Mustang Mach I 351 2v copper and black stripes
1983 Shelby Charger silver/ blue 2.2 (Onmi) Don't laugh , there is one I know of in the burbs of Detroit, embarrassing nay sayers.
Current rides;
2004 Marauder , 2002 GMQ LSE hpp, 1992 Sho MTX
I was out of any type of performance vehicle for many years, as the wagon style was better suited for raising a family.
The Marauder has brought me back to the performance market of my youth, If it's gonna be in the stable, she better be able to run 15's or better LOL!!!

the first car that i ever drove was a 1987 pontiac firebird with 170k on the odometer. the little V6 that couldn't. seriously, that 2.8 V6 was about the biggest dog ever. but i still loved that car and was really bummed when my parents sold it.

the first car i ever out and out paid for myself was a 1989 chrysler lebaron with a 2.5L I-4 for $1500. say what you will, but that car was dependable, cruised awesome, returned EXCELLENT mileage (35hwy!), and comfortable as all get out.

i've tinkered with other stuff; 1977 chrysler cordoba, 1986 nissan 4X2 pickup, 1992 firebird, 2003 focus, but i really love the panthers the best and plan on staying with them.

1968 continental 462 4v (four barrels, not valves)
about 500 cars since in one way or another
several 70-71 torinos and rancheros, 71 Mach 1, several 1971-2 LTDs, lots of lincolns, many many ford pickups and bigger trucks, several powerstrokes, some busses, and hundreds of forgotten cars fixed up for quick profit, or some put out of their misery when scrapped.

My first car that I paid for was a 75 Torino 4dr. Not to be confused with a Gran Torino. I was busted driving it when I was 16 by local cops. Fictious tags,no insurance,registration,license etc..

1969 Chevelle SS 396. Got it in 1974, I think. Those days were pretty hazed. Still have Chevelles now ('68 and '67). Can't fit my fat butt in anything smaller. You should see me in my daughter's Audi TT Quatro. It's ok once I'm in it, but getting in it is pretty comical.

First car I paid for was a 1966 Plymouth Satellite, moved up to the 1968 GTX a few years later. Cool cars at the time but todays cars run circles around those dinosaurs.

1961 Ford Fairlane sedan with a 292 and Ford-o-matic.

Traded that in short order for a 1964 Olds Dynamic 88 coupe, and then traded that in for a 1965 GTO.

Other than my Marauder, that GTO was the one car I truly loved.
