The winter beater just died :shake:

I got a set of the 17" steel police wheels to use on my Marauder
Ol Red wasnt happy when I woke her from her winter nap..
What size and brand should I go with.
thanx

I went with
Michelin X-Ice
Rear 235/65/17 - 29in
Front 215/60/17 – 27.2in
Had them on since Dec and no issues, we are getting another 8 inches of snow right now.

(SWEDEN) etc.etc. They also will not wear as good as your "Coopers" I never heard of a 17" steel rim ? Am I missing something here ? Once I get too the main roads, no snow and no ice ? I may be wrong, think their made by BFG ?

Just my .02, but I would not spend big bucks on snow tires. Especially the rears as the MM tends to overpower them very easily. Thus they wear out quite quickly. I only got two seasons on my 1st pair that were not studded. The studded ones I bought to replace them would have lasted three easily. Keep in mind that so called ice tires only have that compound in the 1st 50% of their tread.

Blizzak are Bridgestone/Firestone and they are a great winter tire.
It is easy to break the rear end loose but Canadian winters teach you a light touch on the throttle. The Michelins are worth it and save a bunch of wear on the BFGs. They stop, turn and start far better than all season tires.
I have Coopers on the Town Car and have had no problems with them either.
