Well gentlemen, im not sure if you've heard, but Zack is selling his 3V V10 on CVN, modified to drop into a panther platform car for $1200.00. Of course me being located in northern Indiana, i am very interested in this. Location is not a problem, as im within an hour of his shop, the only problem i have is the $1200.00, being a broke college student and all. So, assuming i can come up with the funds, what do you guys think? A V10 Interceptor? And those that have delt with Zack, how helpful do you think he will be with the install and such? I'm torn. Really interested in having a one of a kind car, but im not sure about the timing of it all. Thoughts? Opinions? Randomness? lol, its all welcome

He has always answered his phone for me! Beleive me he has a LOT more than $1200.00 into that project, it is a very good deal that shouldn't last long. Use a credit card check.

I don't mean to stroke Zacks ego, but he really is the best. He picked up for me everytime unless I called him 3 or 4 days in a row... which I did a few times. I would be sick of me too!

It is tough sometimes to admit, but Zack is the best. No complaints with him here, and when I did have some issues he confronted me to clear them up.... Overall great guy.

well no doubt i'd love to have a V10 CVPI, but i just dont know if i can swing it right now. time to start hitting up relatives for some $$. my vic isnt doing so well as of right now either, so this new motor could be what she needs.

broke college student and V10 interceptor sounds like a very unnecessary combination

I've thought about walking into traffic now that he's not around. I just don't know how to live anymore.

Unnecessary or best idea ever :-) lol. i figure the V10 with a manual tranny will comparable mileage to my tired old 2V 4.6 (21 or 22 highway) and since im at college, it will just kinda chill in the parking lot until the weekends. although i will have to replace the 4.6 interceptor badging on my fenders :-) and yes vortech, i miss zack's posts around here too. hes over at CVN, but only posted like 24 posts since 12/18

Ithink think that is actually optomistic,16-18 on a good day,
but it would be fun. I'm sorry to see it end, I was so looking
forward to it!!

For a couple of years, I drove a DAV van twice a month to the VA hospital, same 330 mile round trip every time. We got a new van with the V-10, and got 10% better mileage than the V-8! Strange, but true.

hmm... well im sure my mileage would be way lower for the first few months i had it, due to playing with the new motor :-) but otherwise i think it'd improve a bit. I'm actually looking for someone to sponsor the only V10 Interceptor in Indiana at least. Lol, not sure if i'll be successful with the economy the way it is, but no hurt in trying. It's pretty visible tho seeing as its my daily driver :-)

If you buy the V10 from Zack, he will take care of you.

We have been friends for years. He is a fine individual.

Well im interested for sure. im just worried im not gonna get the cash in hand in time, so im looking into what all i'd have to do to have my own V10 project. It'd be cheaper to just buy Zach's and it'd be easier because it's already modified, but i dont know if its in the cards right now. im in a bit of a bind for cash and im not sure if i can find 1200 dollars as of right now.

I won't dispute your findings, many factors effect the mileage ,driving style ,condition of the engine, brakes, tires and weight of the vehicle.
My conclusion it simply based on larger engine more mass and parts within that engine to move therefore consume more fuel.
It would be nice to see a v-10 MM and buying the engine of Zack
would also give you good insight into how to approach such a project.
That alone would be worth the purchase and save money in avoiding
mistakes.

I bought my car from Zack. He told me everything he knew about it up front and was always there when I had a question about anything on the car.

As I told offroadking in a pm, Dont buy this V10!
Its simply way too complicated to pull off. Besides, a custom intake needs to be made or the wipers need to be removed to fit.

Spend the money elsewhere, and avoid the headaches!

You mean you planned on driving it in the rain?!? lol

Foose did the Speedbird with wipers, but never put the arms on lol
