Who or where can I run my vin?

This is in reguards to my Chevy. I have no idea where to look for info like this on a 19 year old truck. Any suggestions?

Anything over 10 years of age is deleted mostly with the exception of open recalls (This applies to GM, too). However, if certain parts are needed, your VIN will help get you the right one when you go to the dealer beacuse they ask for it all the time.
