Stock bore, NA, no nitrous, stock weight.... get 'em into the 12's!!!

We all KNOW 4 valve panthers are better... so prove the WORLD wrong!!!

I got a shiny new 2000 era Buffalo Nickel for the first guy or gal to do it!!!

Now... quitcherbitchin and get 'er done....

Hey somebody had to do this......

Well, I fit into all categories...except the N/A :( Doesn't mean I'm not gettin' it done with stock bore, stock heads, stock exhaust manifolds, stock cams, full weight, original trans with 130k, and 3.73's.

Would love to see someone get close N/A, but that's a lot of weight to overcome with 281 c.i.

So lets get it rolling and we should have some good times at the race track. So who is going to step up to the plate and get this thread rolling!:D

You KNOW that it is wintertime when we start beating on each other about how many valves are in our cylinder heads!

Panther fans....Let's save the beat downs for the Ricers....especially the V-tec Hondas!

OK, we need to get this thread going!!!

I will pay the first one to break into the 12's $100 with a 4.6 NA 2V Streetable CV/GM (that means full interior, AC, WS wiper cowl assembly, etc.; empty the trunk and use skinnes are OK). Not a great deal of money, but a firm indicator of how fruitless the challenge is and how sure I am that it can not be done.

Ain't Gona happen!!! EVER!!!

haha funny :) I have a full weight car with ac, wipers full interior etc, give me a set of trick flow heads and i gurantee you that i would hit a 12 NA. We did betting on cvn as to if someone could get a vic in the 13's NA and quickvic did and the guys that bet money against him never paied off and now they dont even post anymore. I should be mid to upper 13's this spring NA the way my car is now.
I wish i would have waited another year to do my motor swap and i could have gotten the trick flow heads that flow almost as good as a 4 valve head :hide:

Sounds like you've done some lightening to it if it's coming in at 4K with you and fuel.

He is Sherman's "Mini Me"......

But let's stay on topic.... this is the Panther's with 2 valve motors into the 12's...

I never said 4.6 stock bore though... guess I should clarify, otherwise we'll get a 460 Panther in the mix!

Nope i have done nothing to it, except take the back seat out when i had it weighed that time which is maybe 30-35lbs, i have a 99 Crown Vic so its lighter than the 03+ vics which weigh a few 100lbs more. I also am a small person so im not a heavy driver. Other than the back seat that was out that day everything else that came oem was still on the car, also i added addco sway bars which are way heavier than stock sway bars, p.s. i didnt have a jack and spare in the trunk at the time of weighing the vic, i think i was told that the scale i go to is off by 100lbs less so if thats true i weigh in at 4100LBS with me in it and half a tank of gas, the kid that told me this weighed his mustang and didnt think it was correct so he went to the local speed shop he works at and used some sort of system with individual scales for each wheel etc and he came up with 100lbs more than the scale we drove on at the weight station at the local scrap yard, figures the scale would be off considring if they get 100LBS more for free of charge it benefits them more.

Unfortunately there is always someone or a small group of people that think they are above everyone else because of what they drive and they feel its ok to Bash others. It happens on every forum.

right now on cvn there are two 2v na cars that could break into the 12's if they do things right and race in perfect conditions.

i wish them luck. it will not be easy though.

The biggest obstacle is overcoming the weight. We make good power for such a small engine. Put my mods and power in a mustang and it would be a consistant 12 second car all day.
One of our 12 second contest rule is that the car must weigh in at 4000lb's and still break into the 12's.

People with Aero crown vics will disagree with you (Refering to the 2 valve rules) Even with stock interior and a driver a Aero is under 4k

I reffering to the rule's of getting a Marauder into the 12's. I have no idea what rule's you guy's put in place for the 2V's because there is no way that I'm going to attempt 12's in my Vic.

I know the CV is under 4K, I mentioned that in another thread that my reg say's 3788lb's for my 99 CV compared to 4195lb's for my MM.

Aeros have a distinct disadvantage the to the whale bodies though... it's called lack of hp :D

Right now the race weight of the car is 4292lbs, and fastest was a 14.3...

If I want more power the easiest way is to ditch the 2v like Ford themselves are doing :)
