Hey guys the last couple of weeks my cars been stalling on me when making a fast stop. 50% of the time it will stall or shake like it's going to stall. it only does this after about a 30 minute drive, I have replaced the IAC and cleaned the throttle body, Took it for a drive tonight it was running great!!! about an hour and a half into the trip it stalled again coming to a stop. it'll also stall once in a while going to reverse, this is only after i've drove the car atleast 30 minutes. I have not cleaned the mass air yet because it's brandnew with about 3k miles on it.
My Idle is right below 900 rpms in drive, Thanks a bunch in advance..

Have you checked for codes? Reverse seems odd, because it almost sounds like a lock-up problem. With the symptoms you are describing I would get it scanned for TCC issues.

I have checked it for codes with my tuner, I dont know how good that software is, no codes shown thru the tuner, I'm going to try and take it into work monday and check for codes again with the shops scantool. thanks for the reply.Seneca

check the pins on the MAF harness, make sure 1 is not pushed out of place

Hmmm.. Thanks for the replies.. I'm going to check and clean the mass air tomorrow, As for the plugs and coils, I guess it wouldnt hurt to replace the plugs, they may have 7k miles on them. I'll atleast pull them and look at them, I know anythings possible but i dont think it's a coil pack, I do however think this may be related with the TC lockup, I drove just a little bit today and when off the go pedal just drifting the car would do a slight surge feeling rpms would drop maybe 200 rpms and continue surging in perfect timing, every 3 seconds, if you just lay your foot on the gas slightly it runs great!

A sticking IAC can also do this.

my first marauder stalled on me twice when i first got it. i attributted it to bad gas when it never did it again. my second marauder stalled a week after i bought it with 9k miles on it. turns out it was the wiring harness coming from the obd ll port going through the firewall where it ran under the wiper arm. the stud on the wiper arm had worn a small hole in the harness causing a short. repaired the harness and no problems since

Thanks as posted in my first post I have replaced the IAC, I thought that was it cause after i replaced it it ran great for about an hour and a half, I'm going to go out now and look into to problem a lil deeper. Seneca

Well i've been tinkering with the car the best part of the day now, My mood went for annoyed... to...... :censor:!!! To make a long story short i cleaned the mass air, I took the throttle body off again an cleaned it again, Checked alot of wiring, Cleaned up some wiring that looked a little shady, all connections were good though,
took the car out for a spin, About 5 minutes down the road i got pulled over. I figured it's either Exhaust or tint or Both!. I got a repair order for getting my tint checked by a certified inspection station, Luckly i got the warrenty when i got my windows tinted incase i was to get a rapair order they replace with legal tint for free, Well.. I paid 50 bucks for the warrenty so it's not actually free, So that was my day! the car's still stalling i think it's a TC issue as someone in the 1st few post said. I'll be taking it in to my tuner to get tune looked into, Thanks for all the replys! Seneca
