I called Moser to order them but they didnt have the specs but told me if I can give them specs on a invoice number from a old order they could pull up the order and make mine to the specs. Also can they make the axles with the ABS ring mounted already on? I would prefer for it to come ready to install vs having to heat up and press off the old ones and press on to the new axles.

Thanks in advance guys

Order Ford OEM 31 spline axles for a 2007 crown vic police interceptor. Ford has them on the shelf and they are half the price of aftermarket, and imo just as strong. They also come with the abs ring installed! I just did this upgrade with a detroit locker and it worked sweet!

no dont care that much.....Just thought it was interesting that Moser was sticking it to all of us for so long and now Ford has them on the shelf for less than 200. AND

Not to burst any bubbles, but Im thinking axles are breaking due to wheel hop.
With the famous Z&M control arms, all wheel hop is absorbed through them :D

Moser 31 spline axles are $235.00 per set. How is that "sticking it to us"?

You are halfway correct. It has nothing to do with control arms. It's the drag radial tires that is the issue. Of the four axles I have seen broken all of them were using drag radials. I personally saw Martin's car hop down the track at SSH6 before it broke. I blame Jeff for hammering the car till it broke. If the car doesn't hook up then release the gas and cruise down the track and try again. Too many times I have seen drivers try to make something out of a bad start. Unless you are playing for big money it's not worth the time.

This is the best drag racing advice I have seen in a long time! Thanks Merc. A bad run can never be fixed so do as he says and wait till the next one!

^^^^^^^ +1 ^^^^^^^

I've watched many drag racers stubbornly 'keep their foot in it' only to break an axle due to wheel hop.
Several years ago at Capitol Raceway I watched a guy in a brand new, I mean temporary tags new, Z06 Vette hop the wheels out of the hole and yet keep the pedal mashed!...
He found out how easily 505 HP frags a Vette's rear end and half shafts....:(
Everyone at the track was wondering which Chevy dealer he was going to try to get a 'warranty' claim from.

to change over to 31 splines, I should put in 4.10's, a cobra carrier (is it 31 spline), the lightning springs, anything else?

Carbon fiber clutches. Only one "S" spring.

Why just one spring, and I thought the Cobra clutch pack was carbon fiber, if not how much?
