My poor red truck died on our way to the trap shoot the other evening. Jake, the shop guy at Crouse Ford in Taneytown, MD, was already home getting ready for dinner when they called him, and he jumped on his bike and came to where we were and said he'd be right back with the tow truck. They had the paperwork for a new Taurus SE waiting and we loaded the shooting stuff in it and were on our way. I got in three rounds before the rain (72X75)

Turns out the fuel pump quit and they'll have it fixed this afternoon. Meanwhile I went looking online and found a new '08 Navigator at a Baltimore dealer's, in Dark Blue Pearl with Black interior and Tom Crouse is getting it for me, if he can.

The F-150 has been a wonderful truck and after 100K+ miles and six years of great service, it's time to let it find a new home. That will mean two Navigators and the Pimpmobile in the fleet, but we're taking Barb's Navigator out to Ohio for the kids, so we'll be back down to just two rides, + Sunshine, of course.

BTW, they have TWO Shelby GT 500's on the lot, one of 'em a GT 500KR. That one, me likes. :)

Mike,
Ole' Red is getting tired...but a new Navigator will make you feel better!

BTW: How much 'ADP' are they asking for the Shelby's?

I wonder if the soft market is making dealers reconsider their 'ADP's...

Crouse never does that, Joe. I bet they'll ask full sticker, though. Remember when they got a Ford GT for a customer and sold it for sticker, and offered me first crack at their first in stock, Shelby GT 500 for sticker?

Crouse Ford...They are good people.
I bought a 1989 Ford Taurus from them when they were still in Hampstead.
Got a great price and that Taurus gave me 247,000 miles...

(My brother wouldn't 'bite' on that GT500...but Thanks!)

Its sounds great compared to here if you get a KR for sticker.....at a local Ford Dealership here they had a KR for $99,999.99!!

Yep, that's us, John; rustics through and through. We shake hands back here, and it means something.

Found On Road Dead, is one we use, or Fix Or Repair Daily. These days, though, Ford is building a very good and reliable product. It's the first time the Red truck has ever hiccuped. However, I must add, it waited until we were a block away from the Dealer's to have it's M.I., knowing I had a high dollar trap gun in back.

Know what's funny? That trap gun is worth nearly double the value of the truck.

The local Ford dealer in Council Bluffs, Iowa has 2 on the floor. A silver with $5k ADP and a black w/red stripes for 10k ADP. I told him I wouldn't even give him MSRP less 15%. Even at my age the insurance would be a killer. I pay $100 more every 6 months for the MM than my new truck. Crazy

Brian, it's an '02 4X4 Sport, short bed Flairside with 4.6, 5sp, Posi, leather captain's chairs/power driver's, the thingey that puts it in 4WD is a handle on the floor ....none of them 'lectric switches that always fail. .
