2010 Mercury marauder?

Now that i've got your attention,

I wonder who we would lobby to make the Mercury version of the 2010 Taurus SHO the new Mercury Marauder.
Anybody out there have any connections in the motor city.
Has this been discussed before?
Would Mr. Babcock have any pull?

There will never be another Marauder or a Impala SS, these cars are the last of it's kind.

A new Marauder based on the Taurus would be a huge disappointment.

A better Idea would be to base it on the Australian Ford Falcon RWD platform and use the Ford modular 5.4L V8 and ad a supercharger to that.
And you probably have 500hp and on hell of a car.

Marauder would have to based on the grand marquis for it to work, just give it a bigger engine next time or don't do it:)

Crouse Ford in Taneytown gave us a Taurus to drive when the hook came and took away my dead F-150. It was an SEL, and not all that bad looking inside & out. The controls were reasonably placed and it seemed to have adequate power, albeit a bit more road noise reached the interior than we would have liked. All in all it seems a competent transportation appliance; but it ain't no Marauder. Would I buy one, definitely not.

that has one of the most beautiful engines ford has ever made!! (the other is the yamama build v6 sho engines)

yeah if its not a panther platform its not a marauder. If they were to make a new one they would just need to bring back the 04's and put 5.0L and put modern day luxury things but id hope they wouldn't price it higher then a new third generation in 04. what was it like 22,000
