Welcome to the site.
(1) Alot of people will tell you to use the search feature.
(2) Pm royLpita
(3) Just put it in drive(overdrive on) and leave it there
(4) Either take it to a ford dealer and have them retrive the code, or pull the drivers door panel and look at the lower right hand side the door code will be on a small sticker on a module.
(5) Somebody else will have to chime in on this 1
Oops saw that somebody else chimed in also.

If you have a chip the little break off window on the pcm will be removed and you will see the chip. However most cars here use handheld tuners.

Welcome aboard 2003 Merc'em.
If your Marauder is slow to shift from 1st to 2nd gear or kinda feels like it stays in a gear too long, it is stock. The greatest thing about a flash or chip, is the transmission no long hunts for a gear it shifts, and makes deliberate aggressive shifts.
