If you think about it, how did he install the axle and the ring gear with it welded like that? Has to be a joke.

I remember the time we welded my spider gears to end up with a poor man's Detroit locker, only it's the tires that would chirp going around corners, and not gears clicking. Trouble was, the weakest part will always break, and in this case, it was the axle, the first time I dumped the clutch. We were was able to limp back to the shop with the one good axle, only the broken one kept drifting out and rubbing against the inside of the fender. :eek:
