Hi Guys,

I just received my cam/valve covers that I bought from another member and during shipping the passenger side valve/cam cover was cracked. I actually found the pieces in the bubblewrap.http://www.motorcitymarauders.com/forums/images/smilies/mad.gif The other member has been great about it and we are settling it.

In the mean-time does anyone have an extra passenger side valve cover or another set that I can purchase asap? I will be more then happy to send someone a Paypal. I was supposed to be turning these into the powder coater tomorrow (which is not going to happen) as I am trying to get these done so I can put the trilogy on and make it to my scheduled tuners date.

Thanks.

Brad

Yeah, you failed.
If you didnt insure the package for the total value of the contents, its 100% your responsibility to replace it.

It would have been like $1.50 to insure it to $600 and you could have had brand new cam covers.

well hit it on the corner were it prudes out for end bolt i imagine they are not very strong lookin at the new ones I just got I can see were one might crack if it is like the USPS just through it on the truck lands hard and crack!!! Ford new covers were wrapped up all nice in tight in bubble wrap. I sell alot on e-bay and if the cust does not want to purcahse the ins I explain to them it is there deal if they come broken.I always use ins and over ins. like Zack Stated over insd dollar amount they come broke no you got a real nice set of covers for 500-600.00 $

My recommendation is dont bother.

They dont give a crap about you or the claim.
If you do get any money, it wont be for weeks or months.

BTW Brad, Ill take the broken one.

Simple brazing and it will probably be good as new.

qoute from impalaslayer::::::but Zack, i was wondering if any other 4v covers will work.[/QUOTE]

Most 4v cam covers should work of course I say MOST per Ford Performance parts help desk! Let me know if you want one of mine when I swap this or next weekend?

Sure other covers will work.
You want an 03-04 Cobra Cover or a Mach 1.

I have an 03-04 set of Cobra covers, but I cant part with them (or the passenger side.) because removing the SVT Plate devalues it greatly!

Brad, I have been in your shoes countless times over the years.

You want everything to get done in a very small amount of time and in the end it usually is a huge mess and can be very stressful.

I refuse to get stressed over your car!

Hey...we do what we can do. I cant get to worried about it either as the car is supposed to be our enjoyment time. If I dont have a set a valve covers ready to go then so be it. I will just have to do that part another time. Dont stress out as I am not going to either.

Hopefully someone has an extra set laying around and I can buy them and get them done in time. If not that's just the way it goes sometime. I appreciate everyone's efforts on my behalf.

I understand. I got a line on another pair and we will see what happens. If it does not work out by our time frame I will just have to leave the black ones on.

It is nearly impossible to get anything from them, been there, done that, they destroyed a $900 H-D wheel I shipped... and insured, then said that even though they damaged it, they weren't responsible, I should have packed it better:mad2:, better than the 6" of packing material that was around the whole wheel. It took some doing, but I was re-imbursed..... 2 months later:eek:.
